These baskets are hand woven by Maria, one of the craftswomen in Ojoche, Nicaragua. Though she makes and sells them locally, she has difficulty finding buyers. Run4Water pays her for her work, and the other proceeds with those from the other crafts made in Ojoche will be used in the village itself. These baskets are woven from palm leaves; their construction is extremely time consuming. Special orders can be placed to Maria with a three to four month delivery time.
